Middlezoy Parish Council is working with Sedgemoor District Council to provide affordable housing within the village. Please join us at the next Parish Council meeting for an update.
The Chairman of the Parish Council has made the following comment:
Over the years the Parish Council has been aware of the need for Affordable Homes in the village for villagers.
To a large extent Sedgemoor District Council will be controlling the continuing process, they will be choosing the builder/housing association, commission architect, surveys , summiting planning applications, part of which will also involve Highways, services, environmental and infrastructure. However this does not mean the Parish Council and the village won’t have an input. It is proposed that when the Planning Application is submitted there will be a further Village Meeting so that architects drawings, planning application and layout can be viewed and commented on to the builder and officers who will be present from Sedgemoor, and a representative from Somerset County Highways will be present to explain road infrastructure and site access. The Parish Councillors will also be present.
